Devon Cummings




Knight, a post-graduate transfer from the University of Oklahoma is a graduate student on the Aggies Football team. Knight is being recognized for his leadership, academics, and commitment to service at both the University of Oklahoma and Texas A&M University. As a natural leader, Knight was a team captain during his undergraduate studies at the University of Oklahoma and as a graduate student at Texas A&M University. At both universities, Knight was a leader on the Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) and makes annual mission trips to Haiti with Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). While at Oklahoma, he was the FCA vice president and continues to be extremely active with FCA at Texas A&M. Knight’s service resume is filled with frequent hospital and school visits, volunteering with the National Alzheimer’s Association, Relay for Life, and Special Olympics. While at Texas A&M, Knight has been a speaker at After Dark, joining Texas A&M student-athletes on their first mission trip to Haiti (his 4th), and volunteering at the Twin City Mission.

Knight is pursuing a Master of Science in Management degree. He is currently carrying a 3.20 grade point average.

Cummings is a senior on the Marist College Women’s Soccer team. Cummings is also recognized on her team, campus, and within the community for her leadership, academic commitment, and service. Cummings is a member of Marist College SACC, representing the Women’s Soccer program at monthly meetings, community service projects, and campus events. For the past two years, she has served as a mentor on the Student-Athlete Peer Mentor Program, mentoring freshman student-athletes in transitioning to college life and learning to balance academics and athletics. Cummings volunteers for the Marist College Special Olympics and the Marist Girl Scout Sport Sampler. Cummings also supports the local school district as a panelist for the Haviland Middle School Sportmanship Day and assisting with homework at the Hagan Elementary After School Program. She is a certified SPCA volunteer at the local animal shelter, and regularly volunteers for the Marist College Giving Tree, food pantry collection, Heart, Hunger, and ALS Walks, Out of the Darkness Suicide Prevention, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Friends of Jaclyn Soccer Clinic, Campus Ministry, and the Marist College Booster Club.

Cummings is pursuing a History Education degree. She is currently carrying a 3.178 grade point average.
