Ian Ousley, a junior on the Nebraska Huskers’ Wrestling team, has received many awards to recognize his academic achievements and dedication to community service. Ousley was a recipient of the Nebraska Spirit of Excellence Award (2013-14) and Nebraska Student-Athlete HERO Leadership Award (2014). Ousley was also part of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team during 2013-2014, which includes a minimum of six service projects in the academic calendar year. Ousley is a two-time Academic All-Big Ten (2013, 2014) and a part of the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll (Fall 2011, 2012, Spring 2014). He is the Outreach Liaison for his team to help assist the Life Skills department with keeping track of his teammates volunteering commitments.  As a result of Ousley’s leadership and encouragement to other teammates, Nebraska Wrestling has won the Men’s Life Skills Team Competition Award the past 2 years. Ousley was elected as Vice President of the 2014-2015 Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. He was also instrumental in working with the Compliance office petitioning the Big Ten’s ability to allow each institution to provide men’s basketball and football tickets to the student-athlete population.  Ousley volunteers for the Senior Citizens Prom, visits the Gracepointe Assisted Living, participates at McPhee Elementary School Read-A-Thon, and the NFL Fuel Up 60 Rewards Summit.  Ousley is carrying a 3.252 grade point average. Dike is a sophomore on the Oklahoma State Women’s Soccer team.  Dike’s academic and community service accomplishments have established her as a leader and role model in the athletic department.  Dike is a 1st Team Academic All-Big 12 recipient, an Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team member (in her freshman year), 2-Time President’s Honor Roll (earn a 4.0 GPA), and a member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Academic Team.  Dike is also a 2-time Academic Big 12 Honor Roll (earn a 3.0 or above GPA) honoree and an Arthur Ashe, Jr. Sports Scholar Award winner.  She has help raise over $1,200 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, volunteered for the Special Olympics, create Thanksgiving Baskets for Stillwater, Oklahoma residents, and volunteers for Adopt-an-Angel Tree.  Dike regularly volunteers her services for the OSU Spring Break Soccer Clinic and she is a member of the OSU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).Dike is a member of the Nigeria U-20 National Team and played in the 2014 FIFA U-20 World Cup Championship game against German.  She was named the “2014 Discovery of the Year” at the Nigerian Sports Award.  Dike’s parents are natives to Nigeria.  Dike has accomplished all this while maintaining a 3.912 GPA.
