Each month, the NCAS recognizes one student-athlete from a member institution for his or her ability to manage life on the court or field and in the classroom, while making a significant contribution to the community. Richard Lapchick, director of The Institute for Diversity Ethics in Sport and the primary author of the study, said, “The academic success of FBS football student-athletes continued to grow this year. The overall football student-athlete Graduation Success Rate (GSR) for bowl-bound teams improved from 68 percent to 69 percent.” Read the full report here.
