Dave Hoffman – Senior Vice President – Community Engagement – Boston Celtics and the Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation
A Brookline, MA native and 2004 graduate of Union College (NY), Dave began his career working with professional and collegiate athletes as a violence prevention and diversity educator and workshop facilitator at Northeastern University’s sport and social justice arm, the Center for the Study of Sport in Society.
After earning his Master’s Degree in Sports Leadership from Northeastern’s College of Professional Studies in 2009, Dave was hired as the Managing Director of the non profit MetroLacrosse, where he devoted a year to designing character and skill-building curriculum for at-risk youth in Boston and Chelsea, MA.
In the Fall of 2010 Dave joined the Boston Celtics Community Engagement Department & Shamrock Foundation, a group which he now oversees.
Consistently one of the most philanthropically engaged teams in the NBA, Dave and his colleagues are responsible for fundraising and operating a $5M annual budget that resources 30+ programs, inclusive of a long term and multi-focused social justice initiative launched in 2020 called Boston Celtics United.
