National STUDENT-Athlete Day

National STUDENT-Athlete Day

On April 6, National STUDENT-Athlete Day (NSAD), we celebrate the outstanding achievements of student-athletes, and sport as a whole. Since the Institute For Sport & Social Justice (formerly the National Consortium for Academics & Sports) created NSAD in 1987, we have honored over 4.4 million high school and college student-athletes who have earned a 3.0 GPA or above, and who have been involved in outreach and community service.
Honoring student-athletes for their achievements on National STUDENT-Athlete Day is only one important part of the celebration. NSAD is the day when we share positive news about these incredible student-athletes’ accomplishments. On April 6th we remind the world that student-athletes are working as a team, they are working hard in the classroom, and they are bringing their communities into the fold as they serve as leaders.
National STUDENT-Athlete Day (NSAD) is official on April 6, but we celebrate for the entire month of April.  Please share your NSAD celebrations with us on our Twitter (@instituteSSJ), on Facebook (www.facebook.com/instituteSSJ), or email Suzi Katz, ISSJ Director for Special Programs and Events, at [email protected]
